John Atkins is an Amarillo native and Tascosa High School graduate. His practice is focused mainly in the areas of commercial transactions, estate planning & probate law, and related litigation. Mr. Atkins works in the firm's securities practice alongside Ed Morris, and he also handles employment and human resources matters for select employers.

Recognized as one of the area's top young lawyers, Mr. Atkins was named a 2008 Texas Rising Star by Law & Politics and Texas Monthly magazines.
