Recruiting

In recent years, we have hired three associates from our summer associate program. We keep our numbers low so that we are able to spend meaningful quality time with our summer associates during their six week sessions. Although our summer associate program can be a valuable recruiting tool, we encourage our clerks to use our summer program as an important part of their law school experience.

Sanders Baker seeks lawyers who have attended major law schools and have shown indicators of future success as lawyers. This can be reflected by academic records, work experience, and extra-curricular activities. We look for lawyers who are interested in living and working in a smaller, but vibrant, city, which we believe provides greater opportunities for community involvement and time for a balanced personal and family life.
